Laser Drilling
Non-contact & highly precise
The laser drilling process enables the contactless and force-free creation of drill holes in many different materials.

Laser Drilling
The laser drilling process can be used to drill microscopic holes in materials such as ceramics or metals. The use of ultrashort laser pulses produces smooth cutting edges on drill holes without fractures or microcracks.
More information
The laser beam tool can be used to create holes with a diameter of several hundred micrometers down to a few micrometers. By using an ultrashort pulse laser, the ablated material is transferred directly to the vaporization state. This reduces the ablation rate per pulse compared to a laser with pulse lengths in the nanosecond range.
The special feature, however, is that "cold processing" enables very fine material removal without micro-cracks or material damage. PHOTONmark offers several marking profiles for the creation of drill holes in order to realize your application.
