Our various intelligent camera solutions make it possible to generate precise markings on a product quickly and easily. The portfolio ranges from simple positioning aids (MAP) to fully automatic positioning (SMART) on the workpiece in the μm range.

CamVision
Available with MAP (Marking by Augmented Positioning) - for easy placement of objects
CamVision is the simplest way to display the labeling field in the PHOTONmark marking software.
The camera looks at the labeling field from the side, at an angle, and displays it optically corrected in the labeling software.
All marking objects are simply placed on the image via MAP and drag-and-drop. You receive a preview of the marking result before the laser is applied. This system makes set-up easier and minimizes waste.
CamVisionPro
Available with MAP and optionally with SMART (Simple Marking by Augmented Reality Targeting)
CamVisionPro offers high-precision positioning via camera image.
The image of the camera runs in the beam path of the laser and the camera looks at the object through the scanner and the focusing lens. In order to achieve maximum precision in the image, the respective image is corrected using complex algorithms.
The image section of an individual image is smaller here, but can be combined into a large overall image using a raster function.
CamVisionCombi
Available with MAP and optionally with SMART (Simple Marking by Augmented Reality Targeting)
The combination of CamVision and CamVisionPro offers maximum flexibility and precision.
The lateral camera generates a complete image of the marking area. The interesting part of a component can therefore be found quickly and this region of interest (ROI) is subsequently overlaid with high-resolution images from the CamVisionPro. This allows intricate areas to be displayed in detail. High-precision positioning is possible without having to rasterize the entire marking field.

Functions for the vision system
MAP (Marking by Augmented Positioning)
The laser marking can be placed very precisely directly on the workpiece in the PHOTONmark software - what you see is what you get!
MAP generates images of the marking area using various available camera systems (CamVision or CamVisionPro), corrects them using image correction algorithms and displays them in the PHOTONmark labeling software.
The desired marking is placed on the image and therefore directly on the workpiece. We ensure that the preview of the marking matches the marking result.
SMART (Simple Marking by Augmented Reality Targeting)
SMART automatic component recognition largely eliminates the time-consuming preparation and set-up of the workpiece, as well as the positioning of the marking job in the software. An intuitive wizard guides you through the shape detection learning process.
SMART enables the laser system to recognize the components and automatically position the laser marking on the surface. Automatic component recognition can be integrated into a comprehensive process monitoring system.
Operating errors can thus be detected and the laser markings checked for the desired quality. With this package, it is possible to integrate both pre- and post-processes into the workflow.
